Aimpoint h1 question

I dropped my rifle from about 4 feet onto the garage floor the other day. The optic never got touched. Took it to the range and it was about 3 inches to the right at the 50yd line. I sighted it back in to zero at the the 50. It did fall on the right side of the rifle. Is this common I thought they were a little more tougher than that. Also do you guys think I should send it back to get checked out. Thanks

What mount are you using?

I can tell you what I would do, but I have been told that I am OCD when it comes to this stuff. I would more than likely call Aimpoint and see about geting it checked out. But most people will tell you if it holds your new zero it should be fine.

The mount is a arms 31 I think it is the tall arms mount.

I believe we may have the answer!

You answered your own question.

I’d get an LT660 mount, re-zero and call it good.

Lol this is my first aimpoint so lock me on to why the arms mount is doo doo thanks guys

The issue with the ARMS mount basically comes down to tolerance stacking. There is a tolerance (degree of error) in the mount spec where it attaches to the rail. The rail itself (on your upper receiver) also has a tolerance. ARMS mounts are notorious for either being loose when locked, or being so tight that they damage the rail. Conversely, ADM, Larue, and Boboro use either a screw adjustment (ADM/Larue) or a self-adjusting spring (Boboro) that accommodates the variances in tolerances.

I think what everyone meant by “there’s your answer” is related. A number of people have reported losing zero and having to re-zero their rifles while using the ARMS mount in a hard use manner.

It is more than likely your mount. Check that your lever did not break or crack (yes, falling from that short of a distance can snap an ARMS lever).

She is all solid no breaks or anything I think it shifted poi do to the tolerance stuff that was said. Well next up is a 660 I guess. Anyone interested in a arms mount lol.:sarcastic:

Or an ADM mount.
