I saw “Shooting USA” on the Outdoor CH the other week or so, and they dedicated an entire hour to SHOT SHOW 09.
One interesting thing I saw was the Aimpoint H-1, which they said had a “new Matte finish”.
I suppose this is in contrast to all Aimpoints previously having “shiny black” finishes? Dunno for sure?
Anyhow, I was wondering if this is indeed correct?
Also would like to know if it’s ONLY the H-1 that will have this new matte finish, OR will the T-1 have it too?
I would love to see some comparison pics, as I was about to purchase a T-1 soon. I’m hoping the T-1 will have the new finish too, but I need to find some comparison pics first.
Finally, is this all the Aimpoint has offered this year as far as new items/improvements/mods???

The T-1 always had the matte, but the H-1 only came in shiney black until recently. Now the H-1 is also available in matte black.
The matte finish that the T1 has always had and the H1 now comes with is analogous to parkerizing in terms of texture. The H1 previously came with a finish that was similar in texture and coloring to blueing. These are approximations of the TEXTURE, since the T1/H1 are aluminum, not steel.
