aimpoint Comp on/off knob question

Never thought about it 'til now, what is the purpose of the small hole in the side of the cap? Looks threaded too, can’t really tell though.

Also is it normal for the knob’s tension to vary from one model to the next? I have a C3 and M2 and the C3 is definately tighter. Neither is a fake, both purchased from SWFA.

I have a ML3 looks to me that it is a set-screw most likely to hold the knob on. Never took it apart just a guess on my part.

You’re right. Just found out it is in fact a set screw. Seems so obvious now, lol.
