Aimpoint ACRO P-1 Micro Red Dot Sight

I am very excited about this. Completely enclosed, first red dot designed to take recoil while pistol mounted, and battery installation without removal. Sounds like a solid win. Cant wait to try it out.

I am cautiously optimistic here. The thing looks massive though, and that does concern me a bit. Obviously if it comes out and is typical aimpoint quality, it will be the new MRDS standard in the industry.

To add, the ability to switch the battery without removing the optic is a fantastic feature started by the deltapoint. The more than one year battery life is low for Aimpoints though.

Its taller than an H1 with the low mount installed…

I hope cost is less than the micros

Its literally .2in taller than an rmr and shorter than a dpp…

I’m going to put one on a Benelli M2, and see how it does compared to their S-1 unit.

Its .9" taller than an RMR. Adjustable LED RMR is 1" high, this is 1.9". The DPP which is already so high that it typically has very few options to cowitness is 1.3" high. The H1 is 1.4" high without a mount, 1.6" with the low mount. Not sure what you’re talking about.

1.9in is the length dude. Not the height. Lol

Huh. It does look like that’d be the case based on the photos but their spec sheet does say height. Unless I’m seeing things.

If you stood at the end of your driveway the postman would try to stuff mail into it!!

Yeah someone transposed some numbers on that spec sheet… The listed dimensions don’t make sense based on the photos.

Seems to be a lot of hate for this sight so early on but I can’t for the life of me understand why. It seems to be only marginally larger than an RMR and looks to be built about as well as an Aimpoint should be.

Honestly, if these come in at or below current T1/T2 prices then I’m all over it. I haven’t plunged into the pistol RDS game yet because I knew Aimpoint would have something eventually. I have faith they’ll get it right the first time.

Hopefully these will be available soon.

Gonna have to be pretty durable to match the RMR.

Anything on how it’s going to mount?

It does look kind of large (the real pics, not the shopped ones) but it coming from Aimpoint has my attention. Hopefully it won’t cost what a new Sig P2xx does.

Durability has never been a problem with Aimpoints.

I’m very curious about the mounting myself. I’m planning on putting one of these on a G34, and want to see if it needs to be milled, or will work with the MOS guns.

Now look at this. In Glock MOS version (presented at IWA) top of sight body was flat with top of Glock slide. While I’m huge Aimpoint fan (it’s HK of RDS for me :p), I think that this has more potential of being industry standard for “carry” RDS.
