I encountered a strange issue on the range. I zeroed my Aimpoint H1 at 50 yards POA/POI.
Then I attached Aimpint 3x magnifier and fired a three shot group. The group was about 1.5" to the right. I repeated and got similar results.
However, when I put the magnifier on another upper that has Aimpoint M2, also zeroed without the magnifier, when I shot a group using the magnifier, there was not shift in the POI.
What could be happening here? Should I have zeroed the H1 with magnifier and tried the group again?
I remember reading something about that on another board. It has something to do with the optical centers between the two pieces of glass. Place the 3X and the H1 as close together as possible and see if that does not help.
POI shift was fairly common in the older 3X’s. Thought they resolved this issue more than a 1-2 years ago.
I would suggest sending it back to Aimpoint.

I have two of the newer magnifiers and have not experienced this phenomenon. I also sight them in at distance with the magnifier.
