Aguila v. Sellier & Bellot -Brass reloadability

I’m about to purchase 2k 9mm practice ammo, price is comparable (enough). I will be buying a progressive press 1Q 2013.

Does one case have an advantage over the other reloading wise?

Does the red sealant that S&B uses require extra case prep?

I reload S&B all the time with no issues, it’s good stuff. Sealant isn’t a problem.

Those S&B cases have TIGHT primer pockets. I can tell when I’m priming them without looking.

I’d still probably pick them over Aguila, just because I’m more familiar with that brass.

TIGHT doesn’t do it justice :lol: I hate reloading S&B 9mm cases with my Dillon SDB. I reject them. I just started shooting Agilla 9mm124gr FMJ ammo and it looks good to go and shoots great, but I have NOT tried reloading the cases yet.

In my experience, Federal cases are easiest to reload, Winchester next, Remington next, followed by PMC, Fiocchi, and Monarch (PPU).

I have been impressed with how most Aguila has shot in my AR, and the brass seems very easy to reload, no noticeable issues and have reloaded about 50rd of it 5 times now.

I have 100 rounds of 223/ 55gr for the AR as well, haven’t shot it yet.

I read somewhere the factory was set by Remington.

A guy who seems to know his stuff said they were made in Mexico with Remington tooling.

I only have a small quanity of S&B brass in 9mm to reload. Since I bulk load alot of calibers, I sort them. Even though they are made in bulk I still want consistency. From other guys I know they say that S&B is good stuff. I dont know because my low quanity brass lots stay under the bench until I have enough to pay around with.
