Aftermarket Glock slide for rmr options

I think that I am going to give an rmr on a pistol a shot, but I do not want to go as far as sending my slide off to be cut up in case I do not like it.

I’m looking for a reasonably priced slide, already cut for an rmr with the rear sight in front of the rmr and serrations on the front of the slide. I’ve looked around a bit and haven’t come up with much, so any suggestions are appreciated.

Zev Tech makes them, but they are pricey ($500), at which point you could just buy another glock!

Brownells carries these but I cannot speak to their quality:

Lone Wolf has a sale going on its slides atm, i think they are about $169, you could have one milled.

Had a Suarez slide that was absolutely adequate. Mounted an RMR-07 on it. The slide tolerances seemed fine, accepted all my factory parts and could discern no loss or improvement in accuracy. My Googling has the present price at $269.99 with forward slide serrations but the rear sight is behind the RMR.

In the end, I traded the slide/RMR and put the factory slide back on. YMMV.

Will suppressor height sights allow a co-witness with a RMR? I’d be willing to send in my factory TB Glock 19 slide to get machined for a RMR, this is something Glock should’ve offered with the TB models.

I can also vouch for the Suarez. Took all standard Glock parts and also works flawlessly with the Apex extractor. I also, however, am returning to the stock slide because the RMR does not fit my needs.

I believe that the suarez is the one that brownells has on sale if you do go that route, best of luck!

ATEi = Glock oem customized, with little, important details such as those tabs that help to divert forces from the screws.

I had lower cowitnessed suppressor sights on my Suarez slide. I loved those sights, black, steel, narrow but tough, enough to light between the ears and post… Everything that Glock plastic sights are not. Absolutely Goldilocks.

Bingo! They also help tremendously when you have to take the RMR off and then forced to rezero.

I have the factory ameriglo suppressor sights, since Im still waiting on my can I might as well send the slide off to suarez. My credit card is smoking!

Definitely far from being cheap, but if futureproofing is your thing…

That was going to be my suggestion, I’d rather pay more now for future proofing than start fresh for a different optic later.

Been on the wait list for Gen 4(uses Gen 3 guide rod/spring) since they were added, big plans for a 17 and 19.
