Course: Advanced Sniper (Military/Police)
Location: US Training, Myock, NC
Date: October 17-21, 2011
Instructors: Tom ALIBRANDO and Chris COSTANZA
This class was presented as a logical and sequential follow-on to the Basic Siper (Military/Police) Course. All of the students in this class were experienced precision marksmen, with some form of sniper experience. The Instructors presented advanced and specialty information and techniques in a clear and concise manner, and demonstrated an expertise in the subject matter.
All classroom material and presentations were clear and relevant to the subject material. The Instructors were able to convey some fairly complex material with ease and were fully engaged in the enhansing the students knowledge and abilities.
All of the lessons built on existing or previously taught skills, and were presented in a logical manner. The stress put on spotting technique and the reading of trace was one of the best pieces of instruction that I have ever encountered in my over 30 years of teaching. Each of the scenarios were well planned and run, as well as safe and highly relevant.
The Facility and Ranges were outstanding in every way, and the Black Bear Inn was an outstanding value.
Opinion/Reccomendations:
I beleive that this package of instruction is one of the best conceived and executed programs that I have ever been exposed to. Any Agency with a sniper program, would do well to attend, study and emulate this training. Both Instructors should be commended for their dedication to passing on hard won information, and their commitment to providing safe, high quality training.
