Advice on Triggers

New to the site so please bare with me. Maybe the topic has been discussed a million times so I apologize. I just bough a Colt 6920 and had the upper worked on by LaRue. I took it to the range today and noticed that the stock trigger on it is pretty gritty. I know that colts use the larger pins and have a sear block. Is there any triggers out there that can be installed on the Colts that are worth looking into? I will be using it to shoot in carbine courses, etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciatted.

Thanks,

Ricardo:)

There are other triggers, but personally, I just shoot through the grittiness. After 500+ rounds most triggers break in rather nicely.

#1: Install Mil-Spec LPK (I prefer CMT/ STAG, great triggers out of the wrapper!)

#2: Shoot carbine

“Tricked out triggers” do not belong on a fighting gun and will go Tango Uniform…

Just my $.02

You have a standard USGI trigger on a fighting weapon. It will become smoother over time.

There only a handful of “fighting” two stage triggers on the market. One is made by KAC and the other is made by Geisselle. These two triggers are what the USA uses on their DMR’s. All other single stage triggers belong on bench or varmint weapons IMHO.

Thanks for the replies. I guess what I’ll do is shoot it for a while and see if the trigger gets smoother.

Thanks again.

My DMR Geisselle is SWEEEET.

Well worth the price.
