Advice and guidance........ My trainer resigned

I’m fairly new to the world of gym fitness. I started at the beginning of February. Went from 250 lbs bordering obese, and nearly in 2xl shirt to donning chesticles that can dance, 220 lbs, and can wear a large shirt now.

I’ve had this amazing trainer to guide and teach me. He that was very affordable also. I learned something every session from this man and I don’t feel like I’m done learning yet. No two sessions have ever been alike. There isn’t a routine. Some days it was very heavy sets. Others mixes of super sets and drop sets to burn out. Dine days mixed in with some almost puke my guts HIIT.

I’m to the point that I know I could carry on, But my progress won’t be the same.

I really want to keep going on my trajectory for lack of better words. The rest of the trainers in this town are very expensive from the checking I’ve done. My financial situation currently can’t support these other trainers. I don’t have a lifting partner either.

Are there any good resources out there that can help me develop a good workout plan? I’m convinced it’s the method of nothing being the same that has gotten me these results and gains.

I love my new life and body that has come with all of this work. I just don’t want to end up like all of the people that I see at my gym that look the same to me since I started.

I want to keep getting better.

220lbs and you’re wearing a large?! :nono:

Kidding aside, I’m sorry to hear that you’re losing someone who has brought you a lot of happiness. By chance did he keep record of all your sessions? If so, it would be nice to get a copy of each one so that you could begin to replicate what he has done for you, and maybe even experiment a little on your own. It would be a great way for you to practice developing your own plan while not losing focus or a goal.

If you can’t recover that, there are a ton of options out there to keep you going. The above poster highlights a few, and there are many more. Where are you located?

Max Cady, thank you for all of the links. Much appreciated.

Just barely into a large, xl on all of my other shirts is too big now. What can I say, I’m big boned…lol. I’m still losing body fat, but the weight isn’t dropping much any more. The way I’m eating and lifting I’m sure my weight is going to start going up in the next few months. It’s amazing what eating good food had done for me.

I’ll have to ask if he has a log of what we’ve done, but I kinda doubt it.

I’m located in southern idaho.
