Don’t know about what contracts they have, but most companies put LE only on the side because police officers want it there.
All guns are current production and there is no "pre-ban/post-ban any more. All guns are the same (unless you live in a commy state that still follows the Clinton 94-04 ban).
Yeah but why. I always wondered that. People who aren’t in the know about guns always question me about that marking on my AR. Some people think its cool and actually request it.
