Is pre-registration required?

Nope, just show up!

Looks like a great opportunity. A little far for a day trip.

Mike

LEO only?

Basically yes (unless you can get either Ken or I to vouch for you). In your case, that ain’t goin to happen!

C4

How about us Corporate Security folks where active shooter scenarios are a concern, especially in the insurance industry?

No problem, you are welcome.

C4

Very nice of you. Its something that all officers should be going to, even if they have already run the full course more than once.

Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone, but I am actually a really nice guy.

C4

For all those coming, see you tomorrow!

C4

Besides a notebook, is there anything else that you would recommend bringing?

Will there be any hands on exercises?

Thanks for the opportunity,
Carl

Don’t need to bring a thing.

C4

Thank you for supporting local Law Enforcement, Grant!!!

Jeff

If the Seminar was within driving distance from my home, I would have loved to attend. Oh well!!

Does anyone have an AAR that they can share with the rest of us?

This is the first lecture type class we have done and think that it went pretty well. I always feel that it is a great thing to be able to just sit and listen to what Ken has to say. His approach to complex situations and problems (whether it is dealing with politics within your PD or shooting a bad guy) is always interesting to say the least.

The feedback from the attendees was very good. Everyone seemed to take away something of value I think.

Hany Mahmoud did a couple of really good active shooter response seminars at the Rangemaster winter tactical conference in Memphis last weekend. It was an eye-opening couple of hours and what I learned is going to help guide me in making some tough and complex decisions. This is a topic that applies to people other than law enforcement personnel (and has added levels of complications due to the way the laws work), although opportunities to learn for those of us without badges are not common yet.

CCW holders or just defensive minded shooters should understand what goes on during an active shooter situation.

We may even do an “armed citizen” type lecture in the future, but this one was a gift from us the LE community and because of the sensitive nature of the subject, was not open to the public (for good reason).
