New to AR’s (don’t have one yet, but will after some more research), and some of the acronyms don’t mean anything to me cuz I’m a newb to this discipline.
I’d greatly appreciate any “spelling out” of some of the more commonly used terms. One that comes to mind is “FPS”. What’s that? Thanks, Tracy
“FPS” is feet per second, the velocity of the bullet, the number of feet a bullet will travel in one second. Example, “The bullet has a velocity of 2900fps.”

Maybe you meant “FSB” which refers to the Front Sight Base.
