ACOG ta33 question

I tried the search function with no avail, and I have a question. What co-witness does a ta33 with a Larue Lt105 mount have? I’m using a bcm mid length with a fixed front sight. Thanks.

Eta: no co-witness due to the magnification. But does anyone know if the Larue 105 mount is tall enough to clear the fsb?

You don’t need to “clear” the FSB. Even with non-magnified optics if you’re shooting both-eyes-open and focusing on your target down range the FSB in the view is a non-issue.

This upper

with the focus downrange on the target

getting a focus on the FSB

and locking the focus into the same plane as the FSB

and just for good measure, an RDS

The FSB will appear as a slight blur when looking through the scope. After some use you will not even notice it.

Thanks all for the replies. As I am not new to ar’s but new to quality optics, your input really means a a lot.

Rob,

Are you running the larure 105 mount in that picture? From what I have gathered, the 105 mount is lower than the oem trijicon mount which leads to more “shadow” under certain lighting conditions. Thanks for the clarification!

Captdreifus

It’s a Larue, but what model I have no idea.

Rob,

Thank you, sir!

Capt

I believe it is lower (LT105 vs oem mount). I noticed less blur with the oem mount. But like they said, the blur will be worked out with practice.
