Accuracy with the SCAR

Okay did some poor accuracy testing/sighting in today with the SCAR. Wind was blowing in from the left about 10 mph and I left too early in the morning to get some decent ammo. Not bad results but the PMC 55gr stuff I was using is fine for plinking but any more than that and group size spreads more than cheap whore. it was fun but I know theres much better groups to be seen in this rifle. Any way, first picture is a old cleaning “clamp” I used cause I dont have a bipod for the SCAR yet. Not comfortable to shoot but it hold it tight. Second picture is @ 100 yards, 10 shot group with an IOR 4-14x50 MP8 reticle scope. I know, overkill but it was off my 50 and its super clear glass. The fliers are from wind gusts, its been sighted in at this point. The third is @ 50 yards with my EOTech, 20 shot group. Not bad but not good either. I really need a good day for once and some good ammo to really see what i can do with her. Round count is around 250 and the Tetra grease in the receiver is still white! Theres some crap around the chamber area but other than that the internals are clean as the day i got it. Im really liking the SCAR but I really need to run some ggod heavy rounds through it…

I think you did fine. If that was a living animal it would be dead so you are right on. Yes, you can get better groupings but I think you did ok for what you had to deal with today.

What ammo did you want to run?

You’re not shooting the wings off flies, but that is combat accurate.
