According to ITR, can I send a rail to an APO address?

I have a soldier that wants a rail that I had up for sale (I’m giving it to him for free). Then I read something about ITR and BCM’s site says they can’t ship to an APO address. I’d like to get this rail to the soldier, but I obviously don’t want to be arrested for it.

Anybody know?

Call the manufacturer and ask if its an ITAR restricted item.

Generally speaking parts that can used to on military style weapons fall under ITAR considerations. That includes magazines, sights, etc…

Up until recently the U.S military had a a policy concerning certain people in the military. It was called “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”.
