AAC SDN6 Failure: Part 2, Redux

I didn’t have much luck emailing but it’s techinfoATadvanced-armament.com

From speaking with them last week, RMA’s are slated to begin going out this week.

I was quoted 1 week door to door, but they also haven’t issued any RMA’s since before SHOT show, so I’m not optimistic.

I got mine in right before SHOT 2014, was told 1 week door to door also, 45 days later I had it back.

Well I still haven’t been successful in getting anyone to issue me an RMA.

Two weeks ago i was suppose to have it last week. Last Monday I was suppose to have it by the end of the week. I have a feeling I’ll get the same answer today if I’m actually able to get through.

It amazes me the CS issues some companies have when we are talking $1000+ items with a path to ownership this complex. I’ve had better results getting a microwave from Best Buy repaired.

Does anyone have a phone number?

Sadly you are probably not going to get anywhere fast now that AAC has been bought and are in the process of moving to Alabama. A lot of the key people that were with AAC have left. So who knows who’s running the show now.

UPS reversed policy and they are shipping silencers now.

I believe they’ve completed that process. At least from a shipping/receiving standpoint. Nick was able to get me a shipping label generated (UPS FWIW) this afternoon via the new Remington system. Looks like the same one I was using to get my 700 sent back in for the trigger recall. I’m expecting UPS to come pick the can up within a few days.

As I recall Nick has been one of the core CS guys even back in the GA days so it’s good to see he’s completed the move and appears to have the CS stuff down. I definitely owe that guy a beer if I ever run into him.

Well after headache getting my can mailed via the new Remington RMA system it made it about a week an a half ago.

After repeatedly being told my can would be in and out in a week (didn’t put faith in this as I’ve dealt with AAC RMA’s before) I wrote today to get an update to see how everything was coming along.

The update was they’re unable to give me a lead time or completion time as the processes for doing RMA’s aren’t completed yet.

So for more or for less my can is on a shelf somewhere while they wait for machinery, employees, materials, etc.

So it will be fixed, they just don’t know when they will start, and aren’t sure how long it will take to finish…

I hope this isn’t the AAC of the future.

After seeing another thread with a similar issue I realized it had been a few weeks since I spoke with AAC about my can.

Still no updates to report. They can’t give me a lead time on repair as they are unsure when they will actually begin the repair.

Purchased my second Silencerco product this week. The Omega will be the replacement for the SDN6.

Makes me consider selling mine off and replacing with another brand with better CS.

If you know anybody in the state of TN looking for a bottom dollar prices SDN6, I’m your guy lol
