I got one today to T&E. I’ll be putting some rounds on it tomorrow. I’ve already tried a KAC Triple Tap and AAC M4-2000 brake on this upper to compare it to. The machining and finish are excellent.
interesting design, to say the least. i’m in the market for a brake… let’s hear a range report tomorrow.
I know squat about AAC or their suppressors. Is the tooth design used in conjunction with a quick on/off type of suppressor? Interested in hearing your comparison to the KAC Triple.
The teeth are for the suppressor mount. We will offer this in a non-mount version eventually too. It’s literally a cross between our flash hider and brakes, and performs in between them.
The triple tap is awesome, but $$. Love KAC stuff.

Yep. Heading to the range shortly to try it out.
I’m pretty certain it’s in the works.
the vast majority of the silencers we sell now use the 51T mount, therefore that is the one that gets the most mount attention. We have no plans to abandon the 18T mount and do plan to make all the devices in the 18T form. eventually.
Jason, I think a lot of users (Ok, probably just me) would love to get the 762SD, and use it on both 308 AR’s and 5.56 AR’s, but the shortage of 18T mount selection in 1/2x28 puts the plans on pause.
I did luck in to an 18T blackout at a local shop, but rarely see them at your online stocking dealers, and they’re usually out of stock at the AAC site too.
where’s that range report? 
i have one of these but have not had a chance to shoot it. i’m curious to see how it works vs. the FSC-556, or the other brakes you mentioned.

FWIW, I was at VA Arms last week, and they had a handful of 18t blackouts in stock.
As for our stock, I know it sounds like a broken record now, but since the Remington Defense acquisition our production has been spotty, but as the spring wears on and the new factory is ready and gets ramped up, we aim to have everything in stock and ready to go.

As far as cleaning, I would think it’s no better- perhaps it has a few more nooks and crannies than the BLACKOUT flash hider.

How bout some 51T Blackouts in 5/8x24 ? They seem as common as Unicorns!
I shot mine last night on my 14.5" midlength BCM upper (w/optimized gas system).
With this upper I’ve so far used a AAC M4-2000 Brake and a KAC Triple Tap. I didn’t get a chance to put a lot of rounds through it last night but what I did use was American Eagle 55gr FMJ and Federal XM193.
The AAC Brakeout feels much like a KAC Triple Tap in recoil with AE223 both have the little to no flash. One thing I did notice was that although they feel similar the KAC recoil impulse feels a bit smoother when shooting at high speed. With XM193 the KAC Triple Tap produces more flash but shoots a bit flatter. So the KAC appears to be a little more efficient with higher pressure ammo. XM193 has more recoil in the 14.5" gun than the AE223. The Triple Tap and AAC Brakeout sound about the same to me. Both are quieter than the Benny Hill Rolling Thunder. The AAC Brake (not the Brakeout) on this 14.5" upper is actually louder than the Rolling Thunder on my 16" BCM midlength SS410 upper…weird but true.
The AAC Brake on this 14.5" BCM was by far the best at recoil reduction but like all true brakes it was the loudest.
I’ll be shooting it a little more tomorrow night or this weekend. And then try it on my 10.5" SBR. This gun currently has an AAC M4-2000 Brake and I rarely shoot it without the M4-2000 Mod 07.
