A2 elevation adjustment wheel threads

I’m putting together an A2 rear sight for the first time and I think Brownells sent me mismatched parts. In this pic, I assume that the threads on the elevation knob base should match the threads on the sight base… Right? Otherwise I need someone to point out what I’m doing wrong.

You are correct. The elevation knob that you received is for the carry handle base. The correct part number for what you need is: 160-303-024 (Brownells)
The part number you have is: 160-303-025
