A1 upper question

I asked this on TOS. Just thought I would get some more opinions.

I’m thinking about changing my Colt A2 upper to an A1/C7 type. My questions are: has anyone had experience with the Fulton Armory or Bushmaster A1 type rec.? Any problems? Are they annodized to the same specs as Colt? Do they match current Colt lowers? Will they fit easily on a Colt lower? Do I need a different FSB to work with the A1 rear sight? What about M4 feed ramps (my barrel ext has them) Is there anything i’m missing? Thanks

You are better off selling the Colt as it has value and buying or building something else.

probably not - lwhat I’ve seen with anodizing is that it’s like parking and each batch can be somewhat different

Being somewhat dyslexic I never remember if it’s OK to have M4 ramps on the receiver and not the barrel ext. or vice versa. I want to say you should have them on the receiver if the barrel has them but I could be wrong there and someone will come along to correct me I’m sure

M4 feedramp cuts in barrel extension will work without M4 cuts in the receiver.

But…M4 feedramp cuts in the receiver will NOT work with with a standard (non M4) barrel extension.
