A tour to Geissele automatics

I posted this on other forum, but I wanted also to share it with my friends on M4Carbine:
Enjoy

A tour to Geissele automatics

From left to right goes Mark, Ratgunner, Ken and Barb.

I went to visit my friends at Geissele ( down the block from me ) and get a trigger installed as usual. They showed me a new prototype that they asked me to try and I instantly had to have it, they told me this is the only one left and can’t give it to me. so I went to the best bakery shop in town and got them a strawberry short cake as a bribe.

10 minutes later, they installed it in one of my rifles.

His screen name is Hipwrguitar (at AR-15.COM)

Here is a description of the trigger by bill the owner:

The Geissele Super 3 Gun trigger you have in your REAPR is one of about 15 prototypes. The pull has been designed to be similar to the Full Automatic pull on our Super Select-Fire trigger we do for USSOCOM. The Automatic pull on the SSF trigger is unique. It is a long, smooth, linear pull where the shooter feels a sensation of falling off a cliff. What we noticed when shooting automatically is that this ‘walking off a cliff’ pull tricked the shooter into keeping both eyes open as there was no instantaneous moment where he said ‘pull NOW’ or could anticipate the discharge. Shooting automatically with the SSF was different and unique.

With the S3G trigger we changed the same full automatic pull into a semi-automatic only pull, shortened it up and gave it a lightning fast reset. It’s not a single stage but it’s own unique hybrid trigger pull. Here is how I would describe the pull:

*The shooter starts pulling against a trigger resistance that plateaus at 3.5lbs.

*The trigger moves back smoothly for a short distance, like it’s on ball bearings

*The weapon discharges. Nothing proceeds the discharge, no second stage, no increase in pull, no stacking of weights as the hammer is cammed down

*After a short overtravel the shooter can just relax his finger a bit and the trigger resets and is ready for the next shot….all without going back to the beginning of the trigger pull

The trigger is not designed for those seeking a light pull such as a varmint shooter or benchrest shooter would want. It’s designed for Rapid Target Engagement, laying down accurate-high volume fire.

One of the guys who has Mod 2 prototype can shoot 12 rounds in 1.5-1.9 seconds."

Thanks, for sharing. Interesting info.

yeah…thanks! best triggers out there.

It’s almost freakish to see how fast how fast said individual can run the gun. He is certainly a very talented shooter.

WHEN WILL THIS NEW TRIGGER BE IN PRODUCTION AND AVAILABLE TO THE REGULAR SHOOTERS?

Ah - demanding to know when it will be available to you by screaming. Cool.

Damn Im just now getting an SSA-E and they are already prototyping what sounds like a pretty bad ass trigger…:stuck_out_tongue:

I am glade I waited because that’s the model that I want.

Thanks for the info. I was going to swap out my RRA 2 stage for a SSA but I will wait for the S3G now

You, sir, are a genius.

 Nice play there

The world’s first underbarrel multishot shortcake strawberry rocket launcher. With Geissele trigger system as frosting on the cake. Brilliant!

I’m looking forward to this trigger too. Especially if it sells for the same price range as the SSA.

No shit! I have very recently bought 2 more SSA’s, in addition to one I already had. This makes me so ANGRY!

Okay, not really. I love the SSA and wouldn’t trade them for the world:p I’m looking forward to a new model though, as it’ll give me an excuse to buy a couple more lowers:D

Geiselle triggers kick some serious ass!

As awesome as all the different G triggers are, the folks behind them are even more awesome and that is why I prob. am a G trigger lifer:)

I thought you were a USGI trigger type of guy or did you see the light?

USGI triggers are so 1960’s:D.

I’ve currently got 4 Geisselle’s and 1 KAC. I’ll have to sale one to a friend to try out the “E” model.

Not long after I ran a few VTAC drills out at Impact Zone (same range we met up at a while back) several months ago, I said fuck it!

Go ahead, Bel… say, “I told you so!”. I know you want to:p

Mmmm… cake…

Thanks for the Geissele report.

This sounds like an ideal trigger to me, I will definitely be keeping my eye out for these to hit the market.
