Just wanted to post a quick thank you to all of our troops and their families for their service and sacrifice. I am deeply grateful to all that serve and that have served. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families and those who have given their lives in defense of our constitution.
It is said that we lose 1,100 World War II vets a day. Please get to know these folks and their experiences before they are all gone. They are true heros.
My grandfather; US Army 1942-1946 182nd Infantry “Americal Division”, L company.
He was the BAR man of his squad. He was taken down by a shot that entered the right side of his neck and exited of his left hip. After the battle he was carried miles by islanders back to a hospital ship. He is still alive today.
Amazing stories.
For those that have served and passed in defense of our great nation, THANK YOU.
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
