June’s numbers are not looking so good… unemployment hit the highest figure in over 25 years and signs that things are turning are non-existent.
VP Biden admits that they misread how bad the economy was, and will not rule out the need for a second stimulus package.
What the heck, it’s only a billion dollars… no hold on, trillion dollars :eek:
Some economists believe that we are rushing headlong into hell, that our deficit and debt will eventually kill our economy and another stimulus will just add to an already huge deficit and debt.
I don’t know much about it but it sounds bad enough for me. 
I don’t fully understand how the government can spend trillions of our dollars in an effort to stimulate the economy and when it doesnt work say, “Oops!”
That doesnt fly in my book but its obviously ok with the rest of the country since they are too busy selling their possesions so they can afford a trip to the Staples Center for Michael Jackson’s memorial service.
Surely you must be mistaken. Alaskapopo assured us friday that things were getting better and Obama was on top of things. Surely he wasn’t mistaken.
Surely Obama isn’t some idiot who was well out of his intellectual weight class when he was elected.
So, they’re going to wait until September to begin creating jobs. They’re going to continue spending. They’re may or may not be a second stimulus that “who” exactly pays for. But it’s all someone elses fault. What a bunch of … Democrats!!!

what you seem to fail to realize is that this was inevitable, we’d be in the same crappy situation no matter if it was Obama or McCain.
the repubs and dems both have an equal hand in the screwing of this country, and its all orchestrated by the financial and business elite. they are getting RICH off of this and pulling the politicians like puppet masters.
republican. democrat. doesn’t matter. look behind the curtain and see who’s really in charge. its not the government. they’re simply doing the bidding of corporate and financial elites.
while you’re busy arguing over democrats and republicans, you are playing right into their hand. its all just a distraction from the big picture.
people will think the economy will perfect when obama lets out a fart and says whoops… that one slipped.
otherwise… we are in for a long haul… things wont get better with the snap of a finger, it took us years to get where we are… itll take years to get where we were.
