In my personal experiences, they are a great people. But 30 plus years of war has taken its toll. I made many life long friends and only wish it was possible to some day return and find them alive and old. The most detrimental aspect of war is its effect on education. To be blunt a lot of them just don’t know any better, or have no concept of life with out war. There were only two paths from the onset of this thing, in and out after we achieved our goal, or a long drawn out gorilla war. Which is not going to have public support due to Vietnam. Now the hole thing will go back to SOF but the people in the video are the ones who are the victims thats for sure.

You both fail to see the impact of war, they never had a chance without education. You cannot fight back against thousands of years of religious ideology, if that’s all you have ever known. Education is key, it’s sad to say but the actual people are just to uneducated to know any better. They believe what their told and stupid follows stupid. That’s why they are so easily manipulated by educated foreign extremist.
