Ok guys I was just sitting here in front of the TV, and another comerical for some .com to help vets came on the TV. What are your thought on these new programs that keep poping up?
Is it just a bunch of people trying to capatalize on the situation? I have always been of the mind that vets help other vets. What do you think?
I get worried that they are creating a situation that could lead to discrimination on a large scale.
I think it’s important to vet charities carefully and work with local groups where you can actually meet the people and see the operation whenever possible.
It’s a sad commentary on our society, but there are always dishonest and unscrupulous people willing to capitalize on any opportunity to make a quick buck. And, in doing so, they leave a sour taste in people’s mouths and make it that much more difficult for legitimate charities to maintain the public trust.
