A question about the POF 4 rail forearm

I want to use the POF extended rail forearm, but in my research I have seen some flattop uppers where the top rail lines up with the top rail on the forearm and others where the top rail is about .25" higher than the top rail on the forearm.

How do I tell which flattop uppers I have? My carbine is a “keyhole” DPMS and my rifle is a “keyhole” RRA. They are both the same height as near as I can tell.

From what I understand, I have to have the true flattop and not the higher one to use the POF extended or the Bushmaster BMAS.

Thanks for the help again guys,
Darin

So, if I understand you correctly, you want to use the Predator rail system (the POF’s railed handguard) on your DPMS and/or RRA rifle, but aren’t sure if it’ll mate up correctly with these rifles?

They claim to be able to mate up to most anything, so my suggestion would be, to drop them a line, describe your rifle, and see what they say. A phone call’s cheaper than a mis-step, or a mistake.

Thanks for the info and what you understand is exactly what I was talking about.

Also I was wondering how to tell if I have the lower rail or the taller one.

Thanks again

I know POF (that’s my 415 in the avatar :D), but I don’t know your rifles. Best you can do is probably talk to them, tell them your model #/style and description, and go from there.

They run a thread down below in the manufacturer’s section - you could pm or e-mail them there, too.
