A little Duct Tape !

Holy Shit! That isn’t your foot is it?

Nope.

Got it form some buds in the industry.
I’m sure it will make the rounds.

Just thought I share the pic.

I can hear the story that goes with it to.

"I swear it was a AD " !

OUCH.

Safety, safety, safety…

That’ll leave a mark!

So where’s the priority for the duct tape…with patching the shoe or the foot?

here’s your sign

“Stupid is as stupid does” Probably thinks he should have bought steel toe boots.

When I was about 14 years old, I had an old break action single shot 20 guage. It was missing it’s trigger guard and had an exposed hammer. I pulled the hammer back, and for some stupid reason, pointed the gun to the ground to drop the hammer.

Damn near made a hole a lot bigger than that one, in the picture, in my foot.

I think I learned back then that there is no such thing as an “accidental” discharge. I chalked it up as my being stupid.

I don’t know who was more shook up by that, me or my dad. A few decades later and we both still talk about it.

That is one bad case of athletes foot…Good God!!

The funny thing about AD’s is people are clearly taking pics of wounds for the internet before seeking medical attention.

Priorities…

 Ouch.

I dunno, this one looks pretty cleaned up.

When I was about 16 I was walking through the woods with a 1911, safety off. At one point when ducking under some branches, I knelt so low that somehow I discharged the weapon accidentally, while it was pointed at the ground.

The round hit about one inch in front of my foot. Will never forget how shocked, lucky and stupid I felt. Made a real lifelong impression, and I am always extra careful partially because of that.

I had a “top tier” AR trigger fail when my rifle was slung and across my chest. Thankfully, it put a round about 3 feet in front of me and blew a nice dirt clod my way, but the idea of the muzzle swinging across my feet still sometimes gives me pause.

Tweak,

Any details on how this trigger failed? I assume it was off safe. Just wondering if there was any chance part of your kit pulled the trigger for you…

Why do we always get ugly guy feet in pictures? I’m not a “foot guy” but damn, I at least appreciate a pretty female foot!!

So, it looks like it missed bone, which is good. Duct tape it and take 2,000 mg of penicillin for a month or so and you’ll be fine. But change that bandage, twice a day. Limited activity. Elevate that Hoof!!

And don’t forget the aspirin. 1,000mg a day(I know, it thins the blood…). Iboprofen, even better. All this barring limited emergency care.

                            Dog

PV1 Rodriguez did an A/D in the ground at his feet ( .45, 19-E, M60A3 Tanker) during Basic/AIT (OSUT) and then at our HSUT, TWICE!! ( .45 AND M-16 )at Ft. Hood. F’ing dumbass!!! Missed everybody, though. At least.

Probably never got past PV1. He was “transfered” soon after…

                        dog

I saw this not too long ago; I understand he was resting the muzzle of his rifle on his boot, and the docs were discussing amputation of the toe. I never heard the final decision; he did loose a lot of meat, there…
