A heads up for all of you reg HK sear owners out there...

I hope this is just a false rumor being I own one myself but figured I would give a heads up to all you owners out there, this is all brand new news as of yesterday which has been discussed on other gun forums in the past 24 hours…fingers crossed here it does not ever happen. I would sense a huge Class Action lawsuit if it ever did.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I’ll just make one observation.

In the annals of firearms transactions this whole thing has to be near the bottom of “things that happened in the past that anyone would remember to look into.”

That tells me that SOMEONE (is his first name Barack?) is pressuring ATF to dig deep into their files to find any reason to go after gun owners.

I’m afraid there may be more coming, and not just having to do with NFA items.

Could be, but I think this is fall out from poking the dog with the recent machine gun court case.

I have a feeling that many a judge would not side with the ATF after 29 years of the item being perfectly legal, not without also having the ATF payout fair market value. Eminent Domain maybe.

Why not if they feel the need to depart from the plain language of the law because it is well intended? Sounds familiar…[emoji19]

You can’t retroactively make someone a criminal, and I would imagine you would have to be co.pensated accordingly.

I smell another law suit.

Well, this really enhances public safety. And, jeez, no one is coming to take your guns, you paranoid gun-owning rednecks…

IF this happens, BATFE may get a rude awakening. Doug Friesen already backed them down on the NFRTR. I can’t imagine their Form 2 files are in any better shape. Waiting 29 years to protest further undermines their credibility. You’ll have high end collectors with DEEP pockets lining up top shelf lawyers to fight it. There’s too much money at stake. Obama administration orders aside, this will absolutely make them somehow look more inept and incompetent than they already are.

Hooray for my 1985 manufactured Machine Gun!

I wouldn’t mind at this point if they just enacted total prohibition- I, personally, would just say fine… if everything is now illegal, then I guess I’m free to do whatever I want.

Thug life.
