I am Looking for a Draco Pistol I See Century Arms offers one but is their a company that makes a better quality Draco? I have seen some Century Stuff and it looks like Crap. Thanks in advance
The Draco is 100% made in Romania, not made by Century, which means it’s good to go (at least, Century didn’t have a chance to screw with any of the insides :D). I don’t know if anybody else is importing them.
I agree that it doesn’t look that great. I like the Mini-Draco look better, especially if you are planning on maybe SBRing it in the future. I like what Krebs did with the Mini. I would also add a MI rail, US palm grip and a better brake to finish it off.
O
For the cost of a Krebs mini Draco, you could purchase a Draco-C, send to a reputable smith and have all the ‘cosmetic’ issues rectified.
As is already mentioned, the Draco is only imported by Century.
Since they do not have to do any conversion to it there is no chance for them to muck it up.
I removed the muzzle nut from mine and replaced it with an A2 style Flash Suppressor. I also replaced the handguards with a K-Var Black Poly set and the pistol grip with a US Palm grip. I turned out quite nicely.
I intended to SBR it, but never did and ended up selling it.
I have a Draco that’s been legally converted into a SBR. Mine runs like a top, and is quite portable.![]()

As mentioned, no worries over Century having messed it up.
If you’re planning on SBR’ing it, and doing an underfolder conversion, get the Draco-C, as it already has the underfolder rear trunnion in it.
If doing anything else, doesn’t really matter.
I had one, and was going to bullpup it, yet leave it a pistol. This is legal if no type of stock buttplate it used.
Something like this:http://www.cbrps.com/Products.html
Anyway, here in Va., loaded rifles are prohibited in your vehicle, but loaded pistols are not. This would give somewhat higher firepower than any pistol.
However, it was stolen in a home burglary, along with plenty of other things (it was the only gun out of the safe).
Might build an AR pistol now. A friend has one that he can easily get about 4" groups with at 100yds, using a red dot with the tube against his shoulder.
Nice SBR set up! I might decide to SBR it down the road after I SBR my Bravo Company. The rear trunnion doesn’t matter to me because where I work we can switch it out to whatever I want. Also would it be best to upgrade the trigger and parts to make it 922R if I plan on SBRing it?
It’s a SBR, so it doesn’t have to be 922r compliant. The trigger on my Draco is actually nice and crisp, but it might not be that way for all Draco pistols.
Whut?
NFA status does NOT relieve the manufacturer (if built on a form one, that would be YOU) of 922(r) compliance.
I was under the impression that 922r didn’t apply to SBR’s or SBS’s.
There is a letter from the ATF explicitly agreeing with you.
There is another letter from the ATF explicitly disagreeing with you.
In the end, it hasn’t been taken to court, so nobody knows for sure – not even the ATF (and if you ASK, it will just rock the boat even more and will inevitably land on the side of “of course you have to jump through more hoops”).
You just have to decide what you’re comfortable with and go from there.
I also thought it had to meet 922R compliant because its was a “rifle”
I trying to figure out if I like the ACOG or Eotech XPS on the Draco better.
It does have to be 922R complaint.
