Saw this book mentioned in one of the threads and thought it might be a good reference book for my bookshelf. I E-mailed the author for information and his response included this:

It has 12 additional pages with more images and some new info and enhancements. Cover now has a blue tint. IT NOW HAS 148 PAGES.

For those of you that own this book, is this the edition that you received?

Who wrote it? I’m assuming for that color of money it is a hardcover and not a paperback?

Authors are Perry Cox and Bruce Kaufman. Not familiar with them.

Pretty good if you are into the SP1s.

Received my copy today. This is the “Enhanced Second Printing” with some extra material. Looks to be well put together. Heck, I never knew that the proposed name for the rifle was “Comanche”, but that didn’t go anywhere.

Yep, it’s a good read.

Thought those old advertisements were interesting. The first commercially available AR-15’s had an MSRP of $189.50 in 1964. Using the CPI inflation calculator, $189.50 in February 1964 would translate to $1739.94 in February 2022.

Factor in how much you could buy a surplus M1 Garand for at the same time period. Wonder how much HK was selling the 1962 semi auto G3 imports for.
