They will not fight under Article V conditions. None of them will, at least not the larger nations in Western Europe.
Sadly, after hearing Starmers absolutely wheedling speech about “It’S nOt oUr WaR” I am coming to believe this thing I have also suspected for some time.
TBF, I don’t think other Nato nations are obligated to jump in any time we decide to clobber someone, BUT…
That “pweese don’t freak out and stab [more] of us in the streets cuz of Iran war” statement really said everything you need to know about what tipping point the UK is at demographically.
And if the UK is not the UK… what obligation will the “New Britons”, “New Germans/French/Spanish/et”, etc feel to uphold Nato, especially if, as we all know, they are blatantly opposed to it?

Euro-cowards have become the equivalent of public housing residents who won’t even mow the yard. Not our grass. Very much agree with Trump and Rubio’s comments… Ukraine is not our war…. to which Germany’s spokesman, when asked, replied… no comment.
The EU (not counting UK) has a collective GDP 20x larger than Russia. Time for them to cut the grass in their own backyard.

Didn’t we make promises to UKR when we convinced them to give up their nukes? Russia has been our number one or number two threat since the end of 1945. I’d agree that them invading another country in Europe is not our main fight but it is absolutely our concern and something we should be influencing.
How does anyone advocating for us to withdraw from NATO think that makes our country stronger?

I Doubt if we would withdraw, but I hope the next time we write a check for NATO that it bounces.
Well we might have asked Ukraine to give up their Nukes, but did we have to twist their arms or simply promise to help if the Russians go Nuclear? If Ukraine had Nukes would they have used them by now in a First Strike capacity?
We are slowly choking the Russians out, step by step. Essentially Europe has openly worked against all of that since the 80’s.
I’m not in favor of withdrawing from NATO, but I think it’s long passed time for other countries to start pulling their weight. We’ve been Defense Welfare for Europe for decades.

Britain had to borrow a Frigate from of all people the Germans.
In the 1994 Budapest Memorandum the US made a political pledge to respect Ukraine’s borders and sovereignty. US has not violated that pledge. US did not pledge gifts of arms and US tax dollars to Ukraine if that’s if what you’re implying.
To suggest Russia/Ukraine is a ‘concern’ is fair enough. That the US is now selling arms to NATO that can then be sold or otherwise distributed to Ukraine fits with both ‘a concern’ and ‘cutting the grass in their own backyard’. Gifting hundreds billions of US tax dollars and arms to the benefit of Euro-cowards and their welfare state NATO members does not.
That’s a bassackwards question. The question is how does our participation and protection which has been used to supplement welfare state members spending in lieu of military spending make us stronger? ‘Not our war’ positions from UK, Germany, France and others, including a big fat middle finger from Spain… convince me.
Maybe the NATO treaty needs to be renegotiated.
Impose monetary penalties for non compliance with defense spending of member nations. If they fall below target for more that “x” number of years then other member states can seek to sanction them with giant tariffs for example.
Right now there are zero negative consequences for not meeting obligations.

Remember, European NATO nations happily funded Putin’s war machine via oil and gas purchases. They all knew what they were doing. Hell, Trump warned Germany and others during his first term. They literally laughed in Trump’s face during his speech at the UN.

Over the last two days NATO relations have reached an all time low. I think it’s time to renegotiate our participation in the future.
I would sincerly consider pulling out completly at this point NATO is simply insulting to the United States to continue.
America is obligated to spill their blood and treasure to protect nations who refuse their airspace and military bases while sitting on their hands proclaiming ‘not our war’? No thanks.
Major players like UK, Germany, France and others are held hostage in appeasement to their growing radical Islamist populations. Protecting Euro-cowards from Putin while they surrender to islamo-fascists from within makes sense how?
