Sig, wanting to get a piece of the 2011 action - being they are the current fad - uses a plastic recoil spring plug. Wow.

I went to look at one a couple weeks ago at my LGS and the guy wouldn’t even take it out of the case. Mumbled about plastic critical piece and said we’re not selling these anymore. I was just there to check how good/bad the trigger was, but now I know what he was talking about.

SIG has become the Walmart of gun companies without the Walmart pricing. There is absolutely nothing they make today that I want and definitely not for the prices they want.

Interesting. I shot one of these guns. The comp makes it feel a little different than other 2011s. But 2011s are like toilets. They all just flush a little different.

If they were a priced reasonably for what they are, all good, buy they’re not. I was never impressed with Sig 1911s, always thought they were over priced and they were well known for reliability issues.
