Aside from Walmart, who seem hard to beat per 50-100 round. box, who do you recommend for bulk buying?
I buy from Wideners and Aim Surplus. I bought some 5.45x39 from Southern Ohio Gun Company also.
Sgammo has always been good to me.
I second this, good prices and fast shipping. Bought a good bit of Golden Saber 147gr a while back, and will likely be ordering some 5.56 from them soon if I can’t find a better price. A friend of mine order several thousand rounds a couple weeks ago, 141 pounds total, ordered on a Monday and it arrived that Thursday heralded by much bitching by the USP guy.
Aimsurplus when I buy online. BVAC or SGammo when buying at a gunshow.
+1 on SGAmmo. I’ve bought most of my ammo this year from them. I also check out PSA as they run good deals fairly often, especially when they were offerring free shipping a few weeks back.
I’ve also been ordering from Freedom Munitions lately. They have pretty good prices, esp. on their Blaster line of ammo. Occasionally get lucky and catch one of their “Krazy Deals”.
Other than that I either hit up the local WalMart for the Fed or WWB bulk packs of 9mm as well as the local reloading outfit at gun shows.
Palmetto State Armory. I just bought 2000 rounds of 9mm for $440. No sales tax and free shipping.
Check out ammunitiontogo.com also, great selection. Luckygunner.com is another good one.

I’ve used ammunitiontogo.com a bunch of times. I’ve always had a good experience with them, and their customer service is pretty good as well.
As I said in another thread, lately I’ve been using Freedom Munitions for pretty much all of my ammo purchasing. I’ve been really happy with their stuff too. Usually the prices are pretty competitive too.
