You are right man. It was a life changing day.
“A second plane hit the second tower. America is under attack." Of course we did not know what Andrew Card said to President Bush but we knew something bad was happening.
I was home that day polish my boots watching TV when they broke into programming. I was on the phone with my wife telling her to turn on the TV at work when the second plane hit. I yelled into the phone there was no way that was an accident.
Thank God for men and women like Todd Beamer on United 93. They were the first Americans who took the fight to them. The fight continues today.

That’s perfectly ok, I know all of us are united in spirit. I also probably didn’t leave enough room for conversation as I was mostly looking for reflection. There is another thread which I also responded to.
That said I thank you for your contribution DevilDog.
I had tears in my eyes more than once today. I reconnected recently with a buddy from boot camp. He was a Sgt. With NYPD. He is medically retired now after several brain surgeries to deal wirh brain cancer as a result of working at groud zero for so long.
I told my buddy Steve that he was one of my Heros for what he did for all of us during and after 9/11/01.
I had a confrontation with a truther today. No point in getting into it but it left me shaking I was so angry.
I’m very grateful to come here and be reminded that there are those that value duty and sacrifice as much as I do.
Please extend to your buddy my greetings and know that I will keep him in my prayers.
I will do that. I have not had the displeasure of a truther.
