9" or 10.5" 300blk upper with a Surefire SOCOM762?

I’m looking at buying a 9" or 10.5" 300blk upper to run subsonic loads with a SOCOM762 suppressor. I don’t know which barrel length to go with. Does anyone have any experience with particular combination?

Neither, the SOCOM is horrible for 300 blk subsonic. I have both 762 RC and Mini. I sold my 9" AAC upper at a $350 loss after firing 6 rounds. It was that loud.

When I mount my RC on a 10.5" or 14.5" 556 you can tell the RC is there but the extra 4" of barrel length isn’t that noticeable as far as weight further out. So your 1.5" difference isn’t that big where you notice a difference. If you want shorter go 9" If you want extra velocity for supersonic in the future the 10.5" may be better. If you want quiet 300blk get a different suppressor.

Go 9". Barrel length won’t matter too much. The SOCOM762-RC does suck for 300 blackout, so go the shortest length possible. I have a 9" AAC upper and SOCOM762-RC… it’s loud, but still better then no suppressor. The new SF 300 was designed for 300 blackout, or Silencerco’s Omega, Saker, etc. Would be better as well.

The new Surefire SOCOM 300 Blk can is supposed to be crazy quiet, like best in class quiet.

Definitely 9" if not 8".

I was really excited about this until I saw it’s 8" long.

Thank you all for the info!
