Hello Guys,
I have a 870 Moe forend and I would like the get a light I was looking and the Magpul Scout mount Is there and better mount ? and could you please suggest a mount and light also. thanks for you help
The scout mount puts the light to high for me to reach the switch with my thumb. I want a momentary only switch on the light. No separate switch for me! I put a short rail forward on the fore end and will have one of these http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Inforce-WML-HSP-Black-p/inf-wml-bwmh.htm this week. If it works I’ll put some pictures up. GH
I did not like having a light mounted on the fore end. Felt unbalanced and created too much barrel shadow
I run this:

With an insight M3 with LED bezel and press pad on the fore end. I’m thinking about upgrading to a TRL1 HP but what I have now is perfectly servicable for any situation I might find myself in.
Nordic Components makes something similar:

GH, please let me know how this works out I like that light
I went with the magpul rail section and an offset flashlight mount. There is some barrel shadow, but this is primarily for HD so I don’t mind. I was worried the scout mount would put the flashlight too far to reach. Haven’t tested this new setup at the range yet.
I used to have an under barrel setup, but it was unreliable:

Edit: forgot to add that I’m using a Surefire G2 flashlight
I tried out the moe forend. It’s very nice, a little too slick but otherwise good…but in terms of light, your best bet is a surefire forend or something otherwise integrated. (less likely to break your thumb off while firing while activating the light) Only downside is weight.

I use a WML on mine—the ergos are pretty much perfect.
Here you go cam68. Like I said before… I wanted a momentary on switch. A remote pressure pad on a pump is asking for trouble. Yes, there is some barrel shadow but well to the right of the point of aim. I tried it with a Thorntail offset mount but the position of switch was not natural to use. GH

Gh, thanks, I got the same Inforce light on a 3.0 Magpul rail went to the range this week end and shot everthing from target load to slugs and no problem what so ever, for me this light is prefect.
I have been using CDMGEARS BMT with a TLR-1 for 3 years now. No issues. I am liking the Inforce lights though
