8 shot Ithica 37

I have an 8 shot Ithica 37 that I love to shoot.
The only down side is that I can’t drop a shell in for a quick reload.
Has any one seen or heard of a port being cut in the receiver?

I believe I remember reading on a forum that a gunsmith named Ned Christensen (m-guns.com) had done this. You might try contacting him.
