70 GR TSX in a BCM SS410 1/8"

I’m planning on building a recce and was looking at the BCM uppers.

Does anyone have any experience with the BCM SS410 16" 1/8" barrel using 70 GR TSX?

I know that the TSX is much longer than other bullets so I don’t know if I’m going to have to use a chrome lined 1/7" to stabilize the long 70 gr TSX’s. It is critical that this gun accurately shoot this ammo because it’s primary use will be hog hunting.

Thanks guys!

Try the guys in the Reloading section. Some of them are quite experienced at stuff like this.

If I recall correctly the recent thread on on 1/8 twists specifically mentions this round in a 1/8" twist barrel.

Yeah I read through that thread but there were contrasting opinions about 1/8" twist barrels and the load. Some people said it was accurate and others said it was barely stable. So I was wondering if anyone had any personal experiences

I do not have experience with a 1/8. I have used this load in a 11.5" Knights upper with 1/7" chrome lined barrel. It is stable out of the SBR. There are more accurate rounds out there for distance but if your shooting hogs, I think it would be a fine round. The farthest I have taken it is 300 yards. Sorry I don’t have anymore personal experience other than it will work out of a 1/7 in a 11.5 inch barrel.
