7.62x39 AR. Barrel/bolt suggestions?

I’d like to build a 7.62x39 AR. I plan on shooting cheap steel ammo, and would prefer a relatively light nitrided barrel. It’ll get a rifle length free float tube, so gas system length doesn’t matter too much. Any suggestions? 14.5-16" would work.

Also looking for a bolt.

In both cases I’d rather spend a few more bucks and get quality parts rather than cheap crap.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I have a RedX Arms fluted SS barrel and a Mas Defense Nitrided Hbar barrel. both AR 15 7.62 x39 and both 16 inch with carbine length gas systems. both have been excellent and accurate shooters within the limitations of the “normal” 7.62 x39 round. both have been absolutely reliable. the RedX is about $180 and the Mas Defense is around $150. i would give the edge to accuracy to the RedX barrel, but not by much. for a bolt, the Liberty Gunworks bolt has been flawless. a little pricey at $150 and may take a month to get, but one of the two best products of this type on the market, imho.

Magazines are a big deal for this build. overall, between the ASC products and the C Products Defense mags, i would give the edge to the C Products in my build. your mileage may vary.
