Terrible picture time:

Theres my light, and my SOCOM16 7.62X51 muzzle break. It has some heavy muzzle blast. I am able to move my light slightly forwards, or slightly backwards.
Aside from dirt clogging the lens, is there any downside to running the light there? Any advice?
I dont think it will break because it is a surefire, but i just want to be sure there wont be any other issues.
Thanks guys
I don’t think you will have any problem other than getting the lens of the light covered in carbon. Keep a light oil film on the lens as others have done on their X200/X300/X400’s to prevent the carbon from getting caked on. I do this on my X300 and it wipes off after use. I imagine that after a long range session or class, the light will be covered. As you mentioned, it is a Surefire so you shouldn’t have any problems. Wipe clean, light oil, shoot and repeat.
You could always go to a smaller/shorter light that would not extend as far.
