whatever happened to the 65Grendel forum?
I had not checked in there in months until recently and found it tits up. Hope someone else has more info especially regarding whether or not it will be up again in the future. Was some good info/experience on that board.

The Grendel site was hacked and is down. Itâs been said that they are rebuilding it but I donât know when it will be back up.
According to rumor it was hacked by a 6.8 guy that was upset when he found out how inferior his gun was to the Grendel. Alexander took care of the problem by sniping the guy himself at like 2000 yards using a 18" Grendel. One shot. No shit.
John Hanka who runs the Grendel forum has stated that the forum was indeed hacked and the host had to discontinue service of the site using the current software due to security implications. John is currently struggling with a new version of the forum software (not a computer guy)and it is hopeful that the site will return in the near future. Much of the information from the site has been lost in the attack.

While I suppose that could be true, most likely it was one of the following.
- An anti-gun nut case.
- Someone that just does this to vulnerable sites for sport.
- Server corruption that appears like a hack.
- (and less likely than a 6.8 guy) A guy who thought he was buying a 6.5 Grendel barrel only to find out itâs one of those âother 6.5 whatchamacallitsâ.
Way back in the Usenet days, pre-1990, there were hunter-killer teams that tracked down hackers and broke their equipment. Too much traffic and too many hackers for that now.
The guy who runs www.308ar.com has offered to temp-host a Grendel forum if itâs desired. His offer is on the front page.

I was only joking about the 6.8 owners envy of the 6.5. While it is a common problem I think most of them handle it well.
How is this technical in any way or form? M4C takes things a bit more serious here than other sites. I suggest you read the code of conduct for posting here. This crap is a one and done offense. Get it out of your system is my suggestion.
