Yep, it’s what I said in another thread. I believe that if we could cut the waste and fraud out of federal expenditures, including all entitlements, we would have more than enough money to fund the gooberment and reduce the debt.
they had an example of 16 different claimants going to the same doctor on the same day and all 16 were approved for Social Security by the doctor and approved by the judge for their claim. It raised some red flags from interns no less who reported it and then were fired by the Doctor.

It worse than you think. Many of those receiving SSI-D benefits have BS conditions such as back pain which require narcotics or bipolar that is prescribed benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, etc.). How do you think all those pills make it onto our streets?
A significant number of primary care, psychiatry, and pain management specialists KNOW that their patients are full of shit AND selling their drugs for profit (diversion) in what has become a criminal enterprise where government funds are used to fuel a drug trade. These doctors are more that happy to use plausible deniability to line their own pockets.
I have noticed that the couple of doctors that I have been to see this year all have signs stating that they will not prescribe pain medication other than for the immediate illness being treated so don’t bother to ask.
I would have thought that was a given but apparently it isn’t at every doctor’s office.:rolleyes:
I don’t go to the doctor very often, if I am sick I usually just go to our in house PA or an urgent care clinic. Last time I tried to set up and appointment for a “real” doctor on the advice of our company PA, I was flat out asked by the scheduling nurse if it was for “doctor shopping” to get a doctor to prescribe pain killers. :rolleyes:
I have heard that a big portion of the “decrease” in unemployment was due to people leaving the workforce and entering the SSI disability rolls.
They interviewed many people. Judges, doctors, attorneys: and they all said that many people run to SSI-D once their Unemployment Insurance is exhausted.
People are gonna do what they have to do to support their families. I’m not offering excuses; but if you can’t find work, and you have mouths to feed you’re going to do what you have to do to make that happen.
I believe this is the segment here.
This has been going on for the better part of 20 years. Most “normal” people know very little about the underground economy but for those in the know, the SSI/Medicade racket is well know.
What is truly shocking is 60 Minutes covered it. SSI recipients are Obama’s core constituency.
I understand that people have to do what they have to do to support their family but it disgusts me the people that are willing to do that instead of getting a job. People who will eschew offers of work because it might endanger their status.

Whenever there is “free” money in play you will find the worst of society come out to feed at the trough, backed by expensive attorneys who just want their cut of the cheese. I missed this show but can only imagine the outrages displayed.
Yet another example of our Government programs run amok. Yeah, let’s give everyone healthcare too and figure out how to pay for it later.
Wait and see how the healthcare mess plays out in 10-20 years… Now that I think about it, since we’re still buying our own debt, it probably won’t take 5 years for it to crumble to the ground. But that’s OK, NObama will already have his library built and be living far better than anyone on this site. He’ll make most of his money by running around the Country talking about how to take more of your freedoms, especially the 2nd amendment.
That is ok, the Dem’s will continue to pump fresh meat into their voter base with amnesty for illegal aliens.
It should bother everyone, greatly, that the Government is already the largest single employer in the Nation. How do you think all those fat pensions and retirement healthcare benefits are going to be funded? That’s right sports fans, on YOUR back…probably with your insolvent social security.
Between all of the above and the NSA garbage going on…the only difference between us and the Chinese is they admit they are Communists.
Why get a job when you can live off the dole and do what you want 100% of the time? Even if you do have a job, when you screw up your finances and live beyond your means, you can reach into my pockets and steal yourself a fresh start.
It is only a matter of time…Until we start electing principled leaders who are not being pushed by the mainstream propagandists we are destined for failure. But that will never happen because over 50% of this Country is ignorant or dependent or both.
I’m sorry, but this is a hot button of mine and I do not mean to offend anyone, especially those who may be employed by some level of Government.

Another not so hidden backlash with Obamacare, is that, reimbursement to the healthcare providers is how “satisfied” the patient’s are.
Psychology 101 will tell you, satisfied people move on. Dissatisfied people will vent. Vent to the mountain. So if I doctor doesn’t provide healthcare to the indigent who wants pain meds vs receiving psych help, indigent will vent and complain to Obamacare, and will not get reimburse.
So those are services, medicine, equipment, and staff not paid for…again. Guess who foots the bill?
Hospitals have to charge $12-17/Tylenol pill, because the 6-month backlog on the insurance reimbursement, and the illegals who use these resources.
You make a good point about the debt and the minute we stop doing it, we are going to go down hard. What’s funny is people are using the stock market as some kind of gage as to how well things are. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
The ObamaCare nonsense is going to cause the job market some serious pain.
I’m a .gov employee and you didn’t offend me. Pretty much the only difference between you and I, is how close we’re seated to the spectacle that is waste, fraud & abuse. I’m a smart guy. I did well before .gov and I will again if I go another route. I’d like to see my position eliminated someday due to lack of need. Sadly, so long as the same clowns are in charge, that’s not gonna happen. 
I too was shocked that they had it on ‘60 Minutes’. There was also segment on Black Hawk Down. Maybe they see MSNBC and get a little worried about their ratings??
They did get in the line that some of these people have nothing else to turn to- but that is a separate question and a different answer than scamming the system. Hopefully the GOP can make it about getting benefits to the right people.
They said no one gets rich on these benefits, but people never go off them and over their lifetimes cost $300,000. I want to know is that in benefits or also including admin fees- I think it is only the payments they get. Either way that office is better off the more people they get benefits for.
