I am looking to mate a 6.8. SBR upper with my 5.56 RRA Entry Tactical lower and add a Surefire QD suppressor in the near future…any advise on make, model, barrel length, etc. that you could reccomend would be much appreciated. Although I am currently in LE, and former military, this rifle would be for personal use and collection…not for duty use (only allowed to use what they issue us). I like the 12.5" for GP use and the 10.5" if length with silencer is a major factor.
I’m thinking more GP than CQB length…I still want to be able to reach out and touch someone at a decent distance with the 6.8 round, but with the suppressor attached I’d still like to be no longer than 16 inches. I read some related threads here and heard good things about Noveske’s 12.5" Crusader, Barrett’s REC7, LWRC, LMT, Daniel Defense, and AR15 Performance…I want to keep the price tag for the upper somewhat reasonable…maybe under $1,500 since the suppressor will be that or slightly more.
