Building a new 6.5 Grendel II. Upper is an Eisenach side-changing upper and bolt carrier. I have an Anderson lower, KE trigger and Luth-AR stock purchased right here in the EE forum. A Satern 22" fluted barrel and bolt should arrive soon. This is the third Grendel I’ve built, love this caliber.
I like them a lot. This is the second one I’ve bought. The length of pull and cheek rest are easy to adjust, they fit nice and tight, no wobble. I haven’t coated one yet, looking forward to seeing how it holds it.
Thanks. My scope mount just arrived today, I just put the Eotec on for function checking. I have heard good things about the Luth-AR stock for precision work. I love everything about the Grendel but ammo availability, although more options are becoming available.
I usually shoot the 123gr AMAX but picked up a couple boxes of something new, see link. PRVI Partizan 120gr. $15.00 a box at my local PSA, we’ll see how it shoots.
I just received some of that 120gr PPU from PSA for $9.99/box.
It shoots very well from an 18" Lilja barreled Grendel for me. Guys that have brought it to my DM Course were hitting much higher at 600yds than the BDC for 7.62 NATO in the 3.5x ACOG.
I just got my shipping notice from blackhole weaponry that my 20" barrel will be here saturday. Ordered at the end on july to get their 20%. Will be converting my 20" 223 into grendel so should be fun.
Finally got it all together. I have a fondness for OD Green so the finish is DuraCoat. Eisenach Arms upper and bolt carrier, Maxim Firearms bolt and muzzle break. Mega lower, Matrix Arms rail, Magpul PRS stock and MOE+ grip, SWFA 10x42 scope and SWFA mount. Trigger is a KE single-stage adjustable trigger. As pictured it is 9 pounds 8 ounces. Don’t know if that’s good or bad, but doesn’t feel too bad off-hand. Thanks for looking. Chris
