Hey everyone. I was wondering if yall could help me out here. I am looking to buy a 511 LBE vest, which has MOLLE webbing. My question to you all is will this holster mount horrizontally on a MOLLE rig? my reason for asking is sheer inexperience. I know not alot about MOLLE. The link has 3 different views at the bottom, there is a view of the back, which has the straps, but I can’t tell if it would mount the way I want it to.

It only mounts verticaly. I have one. They only reason I have it was because I got it very cheep as the club I am an advisor for is being helped out by 5.11. I do not trust any of the 5.11 MOLLE kit but for the price I decided to play.
would there be better options for me then?
It would be a lot easier to assess your options if we had a better idea what your needs are. Why are you fixated on horizontal carry with a pistol anyway?
Well, I guess I’m not. I went ahead and ordered this holster anyways. I guess I’ll play with setups until I find what I like. Any reason why you don’t trust 511? I have heard plenty of good things about their quality so I went ahead and purchased a complete setup from them.
I don’t have any first hand experience but it would seem a lot easier to draw a pistol from a horizontal holster on your chest compared to a vertical one.
This was my first thought, however now that I think more about it, I want to try to put mu holster vertically on one of the sides, like under the armpit of the vest. This will give me more room for pouches on the chest.
What is this vest for?
Its just going to be a general load bearing vest. I know I want my pistol on it for sure. I also have 4 pouches for AR 30 rd mags, 3 pistol mags, 2 pouches for shotgun shells (10 each), and a 6x6" multi use pouch for whatever else I want to put in there. Basically a grab and go unit that I can put on and know that I have everything.
This might be a silly question but are you gonna be “grabbing” a shotgun to go in addition to a rifle?
