I’ll start:
M82A2CQ with Leupold 3.5-10x M1 Long Range in Barrett rings and mounts, with M8 Armor Piercing Incendiary ammunition.
I like it okay. It’s no sniper rifle, which is annoying until you come to terms with it. It’s nice and short, and for busting shit up in urban areas it’s probably just the ticket.

I Chose the Barrett M99 CQ for accuracy and price. I wanted an EDM Windrunner but couldn’t justify the cost. So far this weapon is right under 1.25moa- I’ll get it down when I have time. I Haven’t had a chance to shoot A-Max rounds yet. The trigger is smooth and the bolt slides like it’s on wheels. It’s loud as hell and brings a smile to everyone’s face:D. I love the scope, Night Force makes great glass for the money.
Lots of fun for around 5K + ammo.

Gunz, did you ever get that video I emailed you of me shooting a bowling ball with .50 API? It’s awesome. And yes, since buying the .50cal, I feel much cooler than you :eek:

Yeah I got it. Even sent it to a few friends. I am jealous. Having fired the Barrett before (first time around '91 or so) I am dying to get one. I especially like that CQB version. One my pecker hardness scale it is right behind the M134 Minigun out of a helo in the Arizona desert.
Bushmaster BA50 with a cheap 20x super sniper. I chose it because I wanted an accurate, detachable mag, bolt action .50. The M95 was another option, but I’ve heard about how it is picky with ammo and the trigger is pretty damn poor. The recoil is also a bit more notable. With the BA50, it allegedly eats everything you feed it, the trigger is literally an AR15 trigger so I can put any trigger I want in it, and the recoil is very mild. I’m also a huge fan of the left hand bolt. The fit, finish, and overall quality is just outstanding, and the action is the most smooth bolt action I’ve felt (roller bearings probably help quite a bit). The BA50 BY FAR offered the best bang for the buck.

The 20" barrel has the most un-fucking-believable muzzle blast. With plugs and muffs, it’s bad…with only one, it’s pretty close to being banged in a small room.

Have you thought about trying a different Break? The break on my M99 looks bigger than on your 82CQ

I can only imagine. The last time I shot one was at the armorer course and we were on a range that had little cinder block walls on the left and right of each bay. The blast was still horrendous especially in that confined area.

The recoil is fine, it’s the blast that is breathtaking. I don’t think it’s a good idea to screw with the brake on a semi-auto Barrett since it’s such an integral part of how it cycles.
mine is a AMAC. It is loud and the muzzle blast will blow crap off of the bench beside you. I like it, just don’t get to shoot it as much as I would like to.
3 shoot group at 200yds. I’m still working on the load and am sure I can improve it
The load I am shooting is a 750gr AMAX over 217gr of 50BMG
it is topped with a Nightforce 5.5-22X55 scope
