.50 Beowulf

Does anybody know if it is possable to convert to .50 Beowulf by simply swaping the bolt head, barrel, and mag
Are the feed ramps different to accomidate the larger round?
Would it eject without the larger ejection port?

I googled it and couldn’t find anything
If it is possable does anyone know where to find a barrel?
I know it uses a 7.62 x 39 bolt and where to find the mags but can’t find barrel

Is this even possable?

Even though the bases of the 7.62x39 and Beowulf cartridges are the same diameter:

The bolts are not the same:

Don’t attempt to use a 7.62x39 bolt with the Beowulf cartridge.

458 SOCOM

You can recess the bolt Yourself and a standard will work although it may have problems ejecting.

I have never seen just a beowulf barrel for sale. There are a couple of barreled uppers for sale on Gunbroker now.

ammo is the hard part to find at the moment.:frowning: I should have my ammo any day now.

The Beowulf has just one, wide ramp on the barrel extension and the receiver has no ramp cuts:

Barrels with matched bolts are available:

16 inch SS

18 inch SS

Both barrels at midway are threaded. You will need to open up the ejection port slightly. Despite what Midway says there are no mods required for the feed ramp. As posted above there are no feed ramps on the Beowulf upper.

Edited to add that the barrels are made by Liberty barrels. I don’t know what blanks they are using though.
