Guys, I just got in another small batch of my 5.56 neck and throat only reamers. These are essentially meant to modify existing, commercial/SAMMI-spec chambers to the more generous 5.56 specs, permitting the use of mil-spec ammo with less likelihood of popping primers due to pressure spikes caused by the smaller and more abrupt leade and throat of the SAMMI-spec chamber. So educate me on these reamers Robb and Ned. Robb I saw your post about removing metal but does this effect the accuracy/functionality of your AR. I dont know much about the altering of AR’s except the small stupid proof things.

Scroll down toward the bottom of the page and it explains in detail what the reamer will do. I simple terms it just opens up the neck and throat of a .223 chamber bringing it up to 5.56mm NATO specs instead of the smaller .223 Rem SAAMI spec or who knows what spec most other barrels have.
