I’m looking to get some quality 5.56/223 ammo (without getting raped) for an upcoming Larry Vicker Class. I’m looking in the area of 2-3 thousand rounds delivered to Connecticut. Any suggestions??? Thanks for your help & advise.
I have 11 900 rd cases left of 07 lake city production 5.56 ammo for sale $425.00
a case feel free to e-mail.If you want them all $400.00 ea case. tacticaledge@ctc.net
I purchased 1K of 5.56 from the Hunting Shack for the EAG class I just took. Delivery took longer than originally quoted, but the ammo was of good quality with zero failures of any kind and cost me about $260 delivered. That was ordered in like June or July, so I’m sure prices have gone up since then, but it’s worth a check.
It may not be, we have shot about 900 rds between 3 of us. None of us have had any problems. Take it for what it is. These days its tough to know what ur really gettn.
I just got a few cases up here in Connecticut for a mere $400 a case. Are you located near where LAV is going to be having his Low Light Class in Ohio in May??? Are you going to be there by any chance???
Folks, I may regret this since I don’t have the cash for 1K right now, but with Grant’s flat rate $7 shipping you ain’t gonna beat that price anywhere. Especially since we’re talking 5.56 loads and not .223.
When did you purchase it? It would be interesting to see what the price of gold was then. Today, it’s $890/ounce. It could just be a dollar thing instead of mere price gouging.
About a year or so ago XM193 was selling for 29 cents a round. Last March I bought XM193 at 39 cents per round. XM193 is now going for about 42 cents per round (for 1000 rounds at ammoman). On some of the auction sites XM193 had been selling for much more.
So there is clearly a price increase, but I would not say it’s gouging. I’m not an economist but I’d say availability and the cost of metals are still the driving issues.
