I make no bones about it. I am a die hard trekkie. I’ve loved the show since 1974 when my grandfather got me my first show related toy. I used to watch it with him all the time.
So far I have met Nimoy, Koenig, Takei from the original series. I haven’t met any TNG folks. I did get to meet Brooks, Marc Alimo, and Louise Fletcher from DS9. Got to meet Beltram and Russ from Voyager. Beltram is a borderline perv / pedo. Russ was a nice quiet guy. The best was Conner Trinner from Enterprise. How can I bad mouth a guy who shared a pitcher with me and bummed a dip of Copenhagen.
Roddenberry had some great ideas for the future and was one horny SOB. Sadly the drugs did their damage and that brought us the 1st 3 seasons of TNG.
You mean “Denise Crosby Tries to Make a Buck”? Yep. I saw it and I remember her. I also vowed then if any of my kids were to take things that far that I would move to some remote mountain location.
I never watched Next Generation so I didn’t even really know who she was. All I remember is that “Commander” psycho bitch from the movie who worked at Office Depot or wherever and wore her uniform to jury duty.
Generally I refer to the social misfits as “Trekkies” and the normal people as Star Trek fans.
The man was a ladies man for sure. His son went into this a bit as well in his documentary. Gene’s wife (Majel Barrett-Roddenberry) played Nurse Chapel on the series. Nichelle Nichols who played Lt. Uhura wanted to leave the show early on to pursue her stage career until MLK spoke with her and explained to her what a tremendous opportunity she had.
Season three episode #65Plato’s Stepchildren first aired 22 November 1968. This is where Capt. Kirk and Lt. Uhura had their infamous kiss. This is the first inter racial kiss everyone remembers however not the “first” by a few.

The episode and the little girl are both called “Onatha”.
